Understanding notices of sums in arrears (NOSIAs)
A notice of sums in arrears (NOSIA) is a letter we have to send you by law if you fall two or more payments behind on your loan.
A subsequent notice of sums in arrears (SNOSIA) is a letter we have to send you by law every six months after sending you a NOSIA, until you're up to date with your loan payment schedule.
The wording used in these letters is required by law. It helps to make sure you’re given certain information when you're behind with your payments under the terms of the loan agreement.
We’re required by law to continue to send you these notices even if you’ve told us about your current circumstances and we’ve made an arrangement with you about your payments.
You might find this article on NOSIA, SNOSIA and payment arrangements helpful if we’ve made an arrangement with you about your payments but you’ve still received a NOSIA or SNOSIA.
